A national equipment rental company has opened a branch in Manatee County. Sunstate Equipment, headquartered in Arizona, now has six locations in Florida.

The company provides machinery like bulldozers, forklifts and boom lifts. Its new general rental branch, south of Bradenton at 5928 21st St. E., opened Aug. 1.

Other Sunstate Equipment locations around Florida are in Tampa, Jacksonville and Orlando.

"Bradenton is a natural extension of our Tampa market," Sunstate Regional Director of Sales and Marketing Derek Oliver says in a statement. "With the area’s rapid growth and strong demand for reliable rental solutions, we’re excited to bring Sunstate’s world-class service and support to even more customers in Florida."

Having an office in Manatee County will increase response times and availability of equipment in the region for infrastructure, construction, landscaping and tourism-related projects, according to the statement.

“This branch allows us to deepen our support for customers already active in the area while also investing in local job creation,” Oliver adds in the statement. “It’s an exciting step forward in both our service delivery and community commitment."
