In a world were news of retailers shutting down seems like an everyday occurrence, there is a bit of good news coming from one Pasco County shopping center.
Ulta Beauty is opening a new store at Tampa Premium Outlets later this year.
The mall nor the chain have shared an opening date, though, only saying that it is scheduled to open in the winter.
Ulta is a popular large format retailer that specializes in cosmetics, fragrance, skin care, hair care and salon services with annual sales last year of $11.29 billion. That was up slightly from $11.2 billion the previous year.
Its stores are an average of 10,000 square feet.
In addition to standalone locations, it has 1,000-square-foot stores within about 600 Targets nationwide.
The new Pasco Ulta will be the specialty beauty retailer’s third store in Pasco and its 30th along the Gulf Coast.
It currently operates 1,445 stores nationwide and plans to add 60 more this year.
Tampa Premium Outlets is the Simon Property Group-owned 441,000-square-foot shopping center off of Interstate 75 and State Road 56.
Among its existing tenants are Marc Jacobs, Coach, J. Crew, Michael Kors and Polo Ralph Lauren inside the center and outparcel tenants BJ's Brewhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse and McDonald's.
Simon Property Group, according to its website, owns 194 mall and outlet properties across the U.S. Of those, 22 are in Florida, including Ellenton Premium Outlets in Manatee County and Coconut Point in Estero.
