The acquisitions keep on rolling at the Hoffmann Family of Cos., a Naples-based conglomerate.

The latest: The company, with business interests from aviation to wineries has purchased Sonoma County-based Pure Luxury Transportation. Pure Luxury, according to a statement, serves the Napa, Sonoma, San Francisco and Northern Bay Area regions with a fleet of over 70 vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, vans, mini-buses, coaches, school buses and limousines. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

"We are thrilled to welcome Pure Luxury Transportation into the Hoffmann family,” says Tamir Rankow, a director with the Hoffmann Family of Cos., in the release. “Their reputation for excellence aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering exceptional service across all our business ventures."

Pure Luxury was founded in 1991, according to its website. In 2023, Pure Luxury Transportation was named one of the 10 best wine tour companies in the U.S. by USA Today’s 10Best readers, the release states. "Joining forces with the Hoffmann Family of Companies represents an exciting chapter for Pure Luxury,” Pure Luxury Transportation CEO Jennifer Buffo says in the release. “We look forward to leveraging their expertise and resources to enhance our offerings and elevate the luxury transportation experience for our valued clients."

The acquisition of Pure Luxury Transportation adds to Hoffmann's national portfolio of transportation entities, which includes Naples Transportation & Tours and Palm Beach Tours & Transportation, as well as Missouri-based JED Transportation and Mid-American Coaches.

In addition to this acquisition, the company recently made a bid to purchase Illinois-based Oberweis Dairy, which filed for bankruptcy last month.

The Hoffmann Family of Cos. consists of over 100 national brands, and employs 9,000 global employees with businesses in 30 countries and 250 locations worldwide. Industries the company has a presence in include aviation, agriculture, financial services, hospitality, business and professional services, industrial, manufacturing, marine, media and marketing, real estate, and transportation. In recent years, the family has acquired more than 200 founder-led companies.
