Forthcoming north Manatee County Publix to host job fair

Publix is hiring for a new store coming soon in north Manatee County and hosting a job fair.

The store, Publix at Gateway Commons, is at 9520 Buffalo Road, Palmetto. It’s expected to open in the next month or two, according to the Lakeland grocery giant.

The job fair is scheduled for Feb. 22, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., inside the store, which is just off Interstate 75, near the Moccasin Wallow Golf Club.

The company says it’s looking for “people with a heart for providing service to join our team of associates at our new store.” Specific available positions weren’t listed in the statement. To apply online go to Apply.Publix.jobs.
