Gulfside Bank hires leadership for new upcoming location

A new Gulfside Bank location in Sarasota is moving ahead in hiring before it’s even open. 

Gary Houseworth will be the vice president and financial center manager at the full-service bank, which will be located east of Interstate 75 and south of Fruitville Road near Fruitville Commons, a new mixed-use community. The bank recently agreed to lease terms for a new building to be constructed. 

“With our new location scheduled to open in 2024, we knew we had to find an effective leader with a proven track record to lead our new financial center,” Dennis Murphy, president and CEO of Gulfside Bank, says in a statement. “Gary has extensive experience in the East County market and brings three decades of local banking relationships that will help us hit the ground running.”
