Strive Sales, a British talent recruitment firm, has opened an office in Tampa that will serve as the company’s North American headquarters and create 11 jobs over the next two years.

According to a news release, Strive Sales focuses on finding staff for the software sales industry and can build entire “go-to market teams” for companies backed by venture capital.

Florida, according to Crunchbase, saw the biggest percentage increase, 25%, of any U.S. state in venture capital investment between 2021 and 2022, and “Tampa offers everything we were looking for in a North American headquarters: a robust talent pipeline, an active startup community, low business costs and an excellent quality of life,” states John Hitchen, Strive Sales’ U.S. managing director, in the release.

“We’re looking forward to building our team and joining this vibrant community,” he adds.

Strive Sales has leased office space at the Industrious coworking facility in Ybor City, the release states, and will look to fill sales, account management and hiring and recruiting roles.

“Demand for tech talent remains at an all-time high in Tampa,” states Angel Gonzalez, chair of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council and regional president of SouthState Bank, in the release. “Thanks to our friends at Embarc Collective, Tampa Bay Wave and Florida Funders, we’re seeing significant startup activity and venture capital interest in the Tampa Bay area, which is attracting companies like Strive Sales that work with growing technology companies. We’re thrilled to have another international company choose to launch its U.S. operations from Tampa.”
