Health care executive Mike Murill has been named CEO of a trio of nonprofit AdventHealth facilities in Pasco County.

Murrill will oversee AdventHealth Zephyrhills, AdventHealth Dade City and AdventHealth Connerton, according to a statement. The appointment is effective July 30. He will report to Heartland Region President and CEO Jennifer Wandersleben, who also provides market leadership for Hardee, Highlands, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk counties.

“Pasco County is experiencing tremendous growth as more people choose to call this vibrant community home,” Wandersleben says in the release. “Under Mike’s leadership, these AdventHealth facilities in Pasco County will be well poised to provide high-quality whole-person care in this community for years to come.”

Murrill started his career with AdventHealth more than 20 years ago as an administrative resident.

He most recently served in the Southeast Region of AdventHealth, where he led AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Georgia, through its transition into the AdventHealth system, in addition to his role as regional CEO. Prior to that he was president/CEO of AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray, also in the Southeast Region, as well as president/CEO of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange and UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale in the Great Lakes Region.

“I’m honored to step into this new role and join the talented team extending Christ’s healing ministry in west Florida,” Murrill says in the statement. “AdventHealth has passionate and highly skilled leaders and caregivers across its continuum of care, and I’m excited to start working with our colleagues in Zephyrhills, Dade City and Connerton.”

AdventHealth's West Florida Division offers services at 13 hospitals, seven freestanding emergency rooms and various specialty care centers throughout the West Florida region. The network includes more than 200 physicians, Express Care at Walgreens clinics, urgent care centers, physical therapy, home care and more. A faith-based nonprofit healthcare system, AdventHealth operates more than 50 hospitals and hundreds of care sites across the United States.
