A cybersecurity company based in Tysons, Virginia, has announced plans to open an office in Tampa’s Westshore business district and will create 30 jobs over the next couple years.

In a news release, Ridgeline International says it has leased office space at 4010 W. Boy Scout Blvd. The company is a government contractor and being in Tampa will give it greater access to MacDill Air Force Base, home to the U.S. Special Operations Command, as well as the area’s large military and veteran population.

“Operating out of Tampa will afford us access to an impressive talent pool, and one that is ideal as Ridgeline continues our targeted growth into the SOCOM market," Ridgeline International CEO Erik Wittreich states in the release. "Further, Tampa has a thriving economy, professional associations and a rich community that we are looking forward to integrating with further.”

Ridgeline’s Tampa location, the release states, will also feature classrooms and secure spaces that will be used to facilitate technical training and development work related to digital signature management, including development and delivery of technology-in-operations training, technique development, technology research and development, penetration testing and validation via exercises.

“Tampa has a long and proud history as a military-friendly business community and a best place for veterans to live,” Tampa Mayor Jane Castor states in the release. “I’m delighted to welcome Ridgeline to our community and the new job opportunities that will be created for our local residents and veterans.”
