St. Petersburg-based Tag Agency Professionals, Inc., a fast-growing company that handles tag and title work for vehicle dealers in four states, has expanded in Central Florida by acquiring Orange Auto Tag Agency, an Orlando-based tag agency.
With the addition of Orange Auto, Tag Agency gains two new offices in Orlando and Winter Park, along with relationships with a number of Central Florida vehicle dealers, the company says in a news release. Orange Auto Tag will continue to operate under its brand name while becoming part of the Tag Agency family.
The purchase comes at a time when Tag Agency is seeing surging revenues: 1,076% more in six years, the company says. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by Tag Agency, a privately held company.
Ron Moore, CEO of Tag Agency Professionals, says the company continues to look for other opportunities around the Southeast "to grow through acquisition." Tag Agency has relationships with vehicle dealers in four states: Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas. Dealers pay Tag Agency a fee for each service, and the company has built relationships with more than 900 dealers in its four-state area, the company says.
The way it works is dealers work with Tag Agency to handle paperwork required for buyers to obtain titles and license plates for vehicles purchased, the company says. The company says it also does work for banks, prime financial institutions, subprime lenders, auto auction companies, salvage companies, fleet companies and national delivery services.
Tag Agency says it can handle paperwork for any type of vehicle, including boats.
Tag Agency was founded in 2010 by owner Gary Connors. It has seen "exponential growth in the past six years under the leadership of CEO Ron Moore and COO Rick Becker," the company says, with an "1,076% increase in revenues over the past six years."
The company has offices in St. Petersburg and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in addition to its two new Central Florida offices.
