A new restaurant inspired by New Orleans and the jazz culture of the Roaring '20s is scheduled to open its doors May 20 in downtown Tampa.

The Dan, according to a news release, will be part of the Floridan Palace Hotel at 905 Florida Ave., and it takes the place of the former Sapphire Lounge. The developer is 1754 Properties, an institutional owner, operator and financier of hotel and multifamily properties in Mexico and the United States.

The Dan's bar features an historically inspired cocktail menu filled with custom creations as well as beloved classics.
