Gina Grimes has joined the Tampa office of law firm Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, effective Nov. 1, as a partner and will focus on land use, real estate and economic development cases.
Grimes is a former Tampa city attorney, serving in that role for the past three years under Mayor Jane Castor. From 1985 to 2004, she served as the city of Tampa’s chief assistant city attorney and city council attorney.
In between her city government stints, Grimes was a partner at Tampa law firm Hill, Ward and Henderson, specializing in land use and zoning.
“Gina is considered one of the most experienced and preeminent land use attorneys in Florida, marking a significant addition to our firm’s growing real estate development and construction team in Tampa,” states Craig Mayfield, managing partner of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings' Tampa office, in a news release. “We are excited to welcome her to the firm and know that her background in both the public and private sectors will enhance the already high level of service we are able to provide our real estate and construction clients throughout the country and particularly in Florida.”
The hiring of Grimes, the release states, further increases the firm’s real estate development and construction practices. In February, the construction team of Ben Dachepalli, Tim Ford and Ron Espinal joined the firm.
“The addition of Gina Grimes to our Tampa office, along with Ben, Tim and Ron, provides our clients with a leading real estate development and construction team in the market,” Bradley Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Jonathan Skeeters states in the release.
