Tampa software company names successor to retiring CEO

Ashish Kachru, who founded Altruista Health in 2007 and sold it in 2020, will lead DataLink Software.

DataLink Software, a Tampa software company that serves the health care industry, has hired Ashish Kachru as its new CEO. He succeeds Kevin Steele, who founded DataLink in 2001 and remained with the firm after it was sold to Revelstoke Capital Partners.

According to a news release, Kachru founded and served as president and CEO of Altruista Health, a management platform for health care plans, in 2007 and then exited in 2020 when he sold the business to HealthEdge, a Blackstone portfolio company. During his tenure, he expanded the company’s footprint into 43 states and raised more than $400 million in equity and debt financing.
