Historic Tampa hotel to rebrand as upscale Hilton property

The Floridan Palace Hotel will be part of the company’s Tapestry Collection.

The Floridan Palace Hotel, a 212-room property that opened in 1926 in downtown Tampa and was once the city’s tallest building, is set to join the Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

Owner/operator 1754 Properties LLC, in a news release, says it will spend $25 million on renovations to the historic 19-story hotel, located at 905 N. Florida Ave., with the goal of making it one of Tampa’s most upscale hotels. Levin Investment Realty President Jane Levin will serve as the project’s retail leasing broker. She has been charged with curating a collection of boutique-style retailers, restaurants and other services that will become amenities at the rebranded hotel.
