Seagate Development Group is lending a site of about six acres to Collier County first responders for training.
The company made the announcement in a press release but declined to provide further information about where the property is located, when the training will begin or how long it will last.
What is known is that “in just a few weeks” about six acres in Naples will be taken over by firefighters, police units and special operations teams. They will be there to conduct training exercises including entering structures, tactical operations using robots, trench rescue and fire hose management.
Seagate, in the press release, says the land “will serve as monthslong training facilities for professionals at different levels. This comes as Collier County continues its fast-paced growth and new hires begin positions that are highly critical to the safety of Southwest Florida.”
Fort Myers-based Seagate specializes in new construction, custom renovations, interior design and management and leasing services. Among its high-profile projects are NeoGenomics’ $60-million global headquarters and Scotlynn USA Division Inc.’s 60,000-square-foot North American corporate headquarters. Both are in Fort Myers.
