NAPLES — Pulte Homes recently announced plans to build a new luxury townhome community in North Naples, called Sonoma Oaks.

The gated, maintenance-free community will include 114 new construction townhomes, according to a statement. Pulte Homes expects to break ground on model homes in Sonoma Oaks in the first half of 2022, with sales commencing late 2022, the release adds.

Townhomes at Sonoma Oaks will offer 1,879 to 1,994-square-feet of living space, with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms and two-car garages. The floor plans live like a single-family home and feature open-concept living areas, spacious kitchens with large center islands and lanai space with options for lake and preserve views, say company officials. The community will feature an amenity area with a neighborhood pool and pool cabana. Prices start in the mid $400s, according to the project’s website.

“Sonoma Oaks is an exciting project for us because of the limited options for new homes in North Naples. It provides an attractive option for homebuyers who wish to reside in one of Naples’ most desirable locations, with top rated schools, and quick access to shops, dining, outdoor recreational activities and Florida’s top-rated beaches,” says Richard McCormick, area president of PulteGroup’s Florida Divisions, in the statement.

Sonoma Oaks is just west of Collier Boulevard and can be accessed from Collier Boulevard, Wolfe Road and Mission Hills Drive. It’s located two minutes from a Publix supermarket and within a 15-minute drive from other major retailers, including Walmart, Target, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.

The Sonoma Oaks announcement comes a few weeks after PulteGroup unit DiVosta closed on a $35 million deal to buy land for a community with 685 single-family homes in northeast Naples, next to the Valencia Golf & Country Club.  Dubbed Terreno, pricing is expected from the upper $300s to $1 million. PulteGroup is one of the largest homebuilders in the country.
