Active adult homebuilder plans 900-home community in Fort Myers

Del Webb is one of the pioneers in building homes for the senior set.

Del Webb recently announced it’s planning to open a new active adult community in North Fort Myers, with at least 900 homes.

Dubbed Del Webb Oak Creek, the gated community will be off Bayshore Road, a mile west of Interstate 75, according to a statement. Single-family homes in the community will range from 1,405 to just more than 3,000 square feet of living space with two to four bedrooms, two to four-and-a-half bathrooms, and two- and three-car garages. Sales are expected to begin this summer, the release adds.
