Engineering firm names new board chair

Michael Dickey has been with the firm for more than 20 years.

Johnson Engineering has named second-generation employee Michael Dickey chair of its board.

Dickey succeeds current chair Kevin Winter, who has held the position at the Fort Myers firm for the last 11 years, according  to a statement. With the firm since 1999, Dickey will “spearhead the board’s efforts to develop strategic plans that will renew the company’s goals and methods of operation with a focus on client service,” the release states. Dickey is also director of the company’s utilities market group.

The firm also named Dana Hume director of its land development market group. With 33 years of experience, Hume has been the firm’s project engineer for many well-known projects, including Golisano Children’s Hospital, Lee Health Coconut Point, Bonita Springs High School, Gateway High School, Florida Southwestern State College and Florida Gulf Coast University, among others.

Founded in 1946, Johnson Engineering provides a complete range of civil engineering services including development, surveying and mapping, GIS, utilities, water resources, environmental, transportation, electrical, planning and landscape architecture services. The firm has offices in Fort Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte, LaBelle, Clewiston and Lutz.
