The Del Mar Naples will be at 494 Fifth Ave. S., in the two-story building formerly home to Café Lurcat and Bar Lurcat, according to a statement. Del Mar will occupy nearly 9,200 square feet, the release adds, with two floors of dining, including patio and balcony seating and two full bar areas. Café Lurcat and Bar Lurcat operated for 15 years, until it closed in 2018.

The forthcoming Del Mar was announced in a statement from The Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District. It’s part of the Ohio-based Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, which also operates Ocean Prime on Fifth Avenue, as well as 15 other dining concepts. The restaurant is expected to open in October, with a Southern California-inspired menu similar to its sister restaurant in the Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio.

“We are very excited to welcome this new dining concept to Fifth Avenue South,” Fifth Avenue South BID Executive Director Bruce Barone says in the statement. “Cameron Mitchell Restaurants has been such a successful operator at Ocean Prime for over five years and we have no doubt they will experience the same success with the new Del Mar Naples.”

Columbus-based Cameron Mitchell  Restaurants operates 39 restaurants and 18 different concepts with locations in 12 states.
