Beachfront estate sells for $17.15 million, setting county MLS record

SANIBEL/CAPTIVA — A Sanibel and Captiva Islands beachfront estate has sold for $17.15 million, setting a record for the highest-priced residential sale ever in the Lee County MLS.

Premier Sotheby’s International Realty sales associates Jeff Burns, with The Burns Family Team, and Michael Lawler represented the seller. Maxwell Thompson, also with Premier Sotheby’s, represented the buyer. After only a short marketing period by Burns and Michael the property had multiple offers — all brought by Premier Sotheby’s International Realty sales agents, according to a statement. It sold for more than the asking price, the release adds.
