Energy company leader to step down next year

Tampa Electric Co. President and CEO Nancy Tower joined the utility’s parent company, Emera, in 1997.

TAMPA — Tampa Electric Co. President and CEO Nancy Tower has announced her planned retirement from the company, effective mid-2021. 

Tower joined the utility’s parent company, Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Emera Inc., in 1997. Prior to being named president and CEO of Tampa Electric Co., also known as TECO, she served as Emera's chief corporate development officer.
