FGCAR names 2019 Pinnacle Award winners

Tampa-area CRE group recognizes brokers and firms in annual honors

The Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors has awarded its top prizes to Tampa-area commercial real estate agents and brokerage firms for transactions completed in 2019.

The Pinnacle Award for “Overall Deal of the Year” went to Tampa Commercial Real Estate broker Steven Silverman for a Tampa self-storage development, while the Overall Top Producer ranked by dollar volume was awarded to Eshenbaugh Land Co.’s Ryan Sampson. Christopher Angelo of Century 21 Elite Locations was recognized for the most number of transactions in 2019.

Eshenbaugh Land also was given the award for “Brokerage Firm of the Year,” while Cushman & Wakefield’s Wendy Giffin won the most individual top awards, with three.

Erika Zipfel Thompson of The Dikman Co. won FGCAR’s industrial deal of the year; Silverman took top honors for land deal; and Angelo was recognized for top office deal.

Commercial Partners Realty Inc.’s Erica Lovingood was named FGCAR’s “Rookie of the Year.”

Mary Foley and Deron Thomas, of Ciminelli Real Estate Services of Florida and Industrial Realty Solutions took top honors in the national and regional industrial competitions; Giffin and Patrick Calhoon of Smith & Associates were named top producers for investment sales; and Jill Carbonelli of Berkshire Hathaway Commercial and Eshenbaugh’s Sampson won awards for land sales.

Thomas Hernandez of Ciminelli and Commercial Partners’ Scott Clendening were recognized as top producers in the office category; Giffin and Klein & Heuchan Inc.’s Mark Klein were named top producers for retail deals; and Giffin and Commercial Partners’ Jim Engelmann were given awards as top producers in the general brokerage categories.

The awards were to be given out in person during a March 26 ceremony, but they have been postponed until later this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
