Health insurance firm’s charitable arm donates $500,000 to local organization

The Humana Foundation’s gift to the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay will support COVID-19 relief efforts in the region.

TAMPA —  The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay has received a $500,000 commitment from the Humana Foundation in response to the COVID-19 public health and economic crises in the Tampa Bay region. 

According to a press release, the Community Foundation’s rapid response fund will disburse the funds to local nonprofits that address Tampa Bay residents’ immediate, mid- and long-term needs.
