CAPE CORAL — Lucky’s Market, a relative newcomer in the grocery industry, unveiled details about its first Lee County store at a groundbreaking ceremony this week.
The new 30,200-square-foot store, which will be located at 2615 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral, will be the national chain’s 39th spot and 21st in Florida, according to a news release. Bo Sharon founded Lucky’s Market in 2003 with his wife, Trish.
“We couldn’t be more excited to open a store in Cape Coral, and have the opportunity to bring more good food at amazing prices to more people,” Bo Sharon says in the release. “We look forward to serving our new community in Lee County, local Florida growers and producers, and providing our customers with an interesting and unique shopping experience.”
The Cape Coral store is slated for completion in late spring 2020. It is being built by Creighton Construction & Development, a Cape Coral-based construction firm. The project architect is WD Partners and the project engineer is Banks Engineering.
Lucky’s will be the anchor tenant in the multi-use development on the corner of Veterans Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard, which will also be the future home of multiple restaurant and retail tenants. A Burger King restaurant is currently open at the site.
