NAPLES — A restaurateur based in Columbus, Ohio, has leased a building in Naples to bring a second eatery to the city’s downtown area.

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants leased 494 Fifth Avenue South, a two-story building in Naples, and plans to spend the next several months transforming the 9,000-square-foot space into a Del Mar restaurant, according to a news release.

The company, which also opened and operates Ocean Prime on Fifth Avenue South in Naples, expects to open this new restaurant by the fall of 2020.

The release says Del Mar will have a menu similar to its sister restaurant in the Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio. The Naples version will offer more seafood options, an enhanced wine list and more, the release states.

CMR is an independent, privately held restaurant group founded by CEO Cameron Mitchell in 1993 with his philosophy, “The answer is yes. What is the question?” Today, the group has 37 restaurants under 15 different concepts.
