Doug Stewart has been promoted from vice president of finance to chief operating officer of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida.

FORT MYERS — Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida promoted Doug Stewart, a 30-year veteran of diverse private, for-profit industry experience, to COO.

He is responsible for leadership and direction of all core business operations, finance, accounting, information technology, business services, corporate risk management and insurance, real estate and other key functions of the nonprofit, according to a statement. Stewart fills the role of former COO John Nadeau, who replaced Rick Evanchyk as president and CEO Jan. 1
