Real estate firm acquires pair of appraisal businesses

NAPLES — KOVA Cos., a full-service commercial real estate firm, has acquired two appraisal firms, Carlson, Norris and Associates Inc. and MPJ Real Estate Services Inc.

Operating as Carlson, Norris and Associates, the acquisition under the KOVA Appraisal & Consulting Services division will expand KOVA’s portfolio of valuation and advisory services, according to a statement. Former MPJ Real Estate Services Principal Michael Jonas is now managing director of Carlson, Norris and Associates, and is responsible for managing, reviewing and helping produce all work for clients, the release adds.
