University creates cybersecurity degree program

TAMPA — The University of South Florida’s College of Engineering plans to offer a new degree program that will prepare students for careers in one of the country’s fastest growing industries: cybersecurity.

According to a press release, the bachelor’s degree program will be housed in the college’s department of computer science and engineering, and it will be the first undergraduate degree program of its kind among Florida’s 12 public universities.
