LAKEWOOD RANCH — Restaurateurs Hugh Miller and Greg Campbell will open a new restaurant concept in Lakewood Ranch called Grove.

According to a press release, the duo finalized a long-term lease agreement with LWR Main Street LLC for 10670 Boardwalk Loop, where Polo Grill and Bar was previously, on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch.

An article in the East County Observer, a sister publication of the Business Observer, says the restaurant is expected to open in late fall, but an exact date has not been set.

Miller and Campbell's partnership started in 2006. Miller brought on Campbell to run operations at Pier 22 in Bradenton. It is the pair's fifth venture together.

Grove plans to offer gourmet meals, including entrees, cocktails and desserts. There will be separate menus for lunch, dinner, happy hour, late night and Sunday brunch.

Plans call for the property to be gutted. According to a release, it will undergo a multimillion dollar renovation that includes a redo of the restaurant; remodel and upgrade of the 350-seat ballroom; and remodel of sections of the lounge, private party areas, meeting areas and outdoor patio areas.

The dining room and patio areas are expected to seat over 350 people. That includes three private dining areas that can be configured to seat 20, 40 or 60 people. Counting the ballroom, the building's total seating capacity is 750.

“We’ve been looking to continue to grow and diversify the restaurant and hospitality holdings — searching for just the right spot," Miller says in the statement.
