Retailer to spend $200 million in Florida on new stores, upgrades

Several Walmart stores from Tampa to Naples will be remodeled in 2018.

Big changes are coming to some Florida Walmart stores.

Over the next year, the company plans to spend about $200 million to open and remodel 43 stores in the state and introduce in-store and online changes. The remodels include Walmart stores in Tampa, Sarasota, Port Richey, Pinellas Park, Haines City, Gibsonton, Clearwater and Naples.
