Tech company hires former Oracle sales leader
Tampa-based mobile commerce technology company Mad Mobile named former Oracle sales executive Doug Iverson chief revenue officer.

Iverson has more than 20 years' sales and consulting experience, a statement says. He was most recently vice president of North America Sales for Oracle-Retail, where he worked with the world's top retail brands. Prior to Oracle, Iverson held senior sales positions at ProfitLogic and JDA/i2 Technologies.

Iverson will oversee sales and customers, in addition to go-to-market strategy for Mad Mobile. The firm's software and products work in smartphones, tablets, apps and in-store experiences. Clients include Sysco, Toshiba, Major League Baseball and Mattel.

“As we enter this next phase of growth for Mad Mobile, Doug is a critical addition to the Mad Mobile leadership team,” says CEO Bruce Bennett. “He brings tremendous retail and technology experience, perfect for scaling a global sales organization.”

Engineering firm grows with acquisition
Pinellas Park-based H2R acquired Gannett Fleming's drilling, subsurface exploration and geotechnical testing lab operations in Florida, adding 24 employees to its staff.
Financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Two former Gannett Fleming employees, Dan Hart and Dave Rancman, run H2R, and the partnership between the two companies allows them to team on projects when specialized drilling and testing is needed, according to a statement.

Harrisburg, Pa.-based Gannett Fleming has 120 employees in six Florida offices: Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami, Tallahassee, Tampa and West Palm Beach. This transition from the drilling and geotechnical testing market enables the firm to invest in its core business and advance its strategic growth plans for Florida, the release adds.
