Real estate giant targets new Florida market

One of the largest commercial real estate services firms in the world, CBRE Group, is expanding on the Gulf Coast with a Southwest Florida office.

Jeffrey Gage, senior vice president with CBRE Advisory and Transaction Services, will run the new office, according to a statement. The office will focus on agency leasing and property sales, in addition to other CBRE services, the release adds. It will target clients throughout Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Port Charlotte and Bonita Springs.

“Southwest Florida is a vibrant emerging market, supported by all the fundamentals for sustained economic growth,” Gage says in the release. “We are seeing new investor capital pouring into this region with a focus on existing income property as well as new development across all product types.”

Gage has 30 years experience in commercial real estate, where he has handled the sale and lease of more than 8.5 million square feet in leasing and capital markets transactions, valued in excess of $2 billion across all property types.
