Tech Data launches new business unit

CLEARWATER — Technology distributor Tech Data Corp. launched a new business unit focused on preventing customers from cyber threats.

The new Security and Information Management division includes Tech Data's software and network security vendor portfolios, a release says. It is led by 19-year company veteran Tracy Holtz, who was recently appointed director of product marketing, security and information management. Holtz will report to Brian Davis, Tech Data's senior vice president, U.S. marketing.

“The need for security solutions has evolved quickly, and in anticipation of this, Tech Data has laid the foundation for a comprehensive security practice that works for both our security vendors and solution providers,” Holtz says in the statement.
