Daymond John is more than a shark

Just before Shark Tank star and FUBU founder Daymond John emerged from the green room at Sarasota's Ritz-Carlton for his speech Feb. 15, the audience of 500 attendees was instructed: No flash photography, no videos, no recordings ... You know the routine of the big media celebs.

In fact, John apparently is so conscious of security and the social media paparazzi, he declined spending the night before his speech at the Sarasota Ritz. He made arrangements at another Sarasota hotel, he told his hosts, to avoid his stalkers.

But being the entrepreneur, marketer and entertainer that he is, John early on in his speech stopped his story telling to allow audience members to snap photos.
