NAPLES — DeAngelis Diamond Construction recently announced that it's implementing an advisory board.

The Naples-based firm, founded by David Diamond and John DeAngelis in 1996, is one of the largest privately-held construction companies in the region, doing work from health care to retail to churches. The firm had $225 million in sales last year, up 64.2% from $137 million in 2014. In addition to Naples, the firm has offices in Fort Myers, Sarasota, Nashville and Birmingham, Ala.

The advisory board includes:
• Tim Cartwright, board member at the Florida Venture Forum and founder and managing director of Compass Advisory Group, which completes business transactions for middle market companies;
• Kelly Curry, a retired Health Management Associates executive who serves on numerous boards and ministries with international operations; and
• Steve Walling, founder and CEO of SJW Strategic Solutions, a business consulting group that advises businesses across North America.

“Every company needs to surround itself with leaders who will challenge its people to improve; otherwise the company stagnates and begins to lose ground,” DeAngelis says in the release.
