Former bank CFO moves to insurance

Lutgert Insurance named former bank finance chief Derrick Ayers chief financial officer.

Prior to joining Lutgert, Ayers was the regional CFO for Fifth Third Bank in South Florida. Ayers also has previous finance and accounting experience with public and private companies, as controller of a construction company and as an audit team member with Ernst & Young in Louisville, Ky.

“We're excited to add Derrick to our leadership staff,” says Bud Hornbeck, president and CEO of Lutgert Insurance, in a statement. Lutgert Insurance has provided personal and commercial insurance, risk management and estate planning since 1953. A division of The Lutgert Cos. and headquartered in Naples, the firm has locations in Ave Maria, Fort Myers, Marco Island, Sarasota and Tampa.

Pest control firm names Tampa leader
Arrow Environmental Services relocated Anthony Testa from Altamonte Springs to lead its Tampa office.

Testa, a 38-year pest control veteran, will oversee sales, service, hiring, training and customer relations for Arrow's Tampa office, which has 17 employees, according to a statement. He previously served as branch manager in Altamonte Springs.

Arrow Environmental Services operates eight locations throughout Southwest Florida, Central Florida and Tampa Bay. Its parent company, Sarasota-based Environmental Pest Service, ranked 19th on Pest Control Technology magazine's list of the top 100 pest control companies in the United States.

Online firm brings in new executive
Steelyard, an online sourcing platform for trade and design professionals, named Boyd Tasker executive vice president.

Tasker will lead branding and sales efforts at Steelyard, a statement says. Most recently, Tasker and his wife founded the Wynwood Design Lab, a design incubator and salon-style gathering and event space in Miami. His other experience includes a six-year tenure as director of business development, gift and home for the International Market Center in Las Vegas.

Steelyard's technology-based platform reaches professional trade buyers in a business-to-business market.

Manufacturer appoints sales official

Venice-based Window and door manufacturer PGT Inc. named Dan Plotnick director of southeast Florida and international sales.

Plotnick, with more than 20 years' experience in sales and growing sales divisions, reports to PGT Vice President and General Manager Bob Keller, a statement says. Prior to joining PGT, Plotnick served as director of sales and marketing for Guardian Industries. He has also held sales leadership roles with Pilkington Group Ltd and Stanley Tool & Hardware Corp.
