Doctors target fast-growing area

FORT MYERS — Lee Physician Group is opening two offices in Bonita Springs to serve the fast-growing area of south Lee County.

New physician offices at Bonita Bay Club Lifestyle Center include integrative medicine designed to prevent and treat chronic conditions and family medicine. In addition, Lee Memorial Health System has opened a new outpatient rehabilitation center at the same location at 26800 Tamiami Trail South.

“The continued growth in south Lee County has dramatically increased the demand for local services - especially in Bonita Springs and Estero,” says Dave Cato, chief administrative officer of outpatient services for Lee Memorial Health System, in a statement.

“These are just a few of the services planned by the system in south Lee County to meet the needs of the communities we serve,” adds Cato. “In December, we plan to open an innovative Healthy Life Center in Coconut Point Mall, and earlier this year, we announced plans to build a health care village just south of Coconut Point Mall.”

In addition to the physician group and outpatient centers, Lee Memorial operates four acute-care hospitals and two specialty hospitals in Lee County.
