Wealth planner rises into new exec role

GenSpring Family Offices, a wealth management firm for ultra-high net worth families, named longtime financial planner Jim Brennan managing director of the firm's west Florida division.

GenSpring, an affiliate of SunTrust Banks, will also divide its coverage in Florida into a west and east region, according to a release. David Herritt, another experienced family wealth advisor, was named to head up the east region.

“Jim and David represent the best of GenSpring, they are experts in the family wealth industry who will build on the legacy we've created in these regions,” GenSpring CEO Willem Hattink says in the statement.
