TAMPA -- Faculty working in the University of South Florida's School of Accountancy will need new business cards now that the institution has been renamed to honor a $10 million donor.
Lynn Pippenger, a retired accountant and financial services executive with Raymond James Financial Inc., provided the donation as part of USF's $1 billion “Unstoppable” campaign. That creates the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy, part of the recently renamed Muma College of Business.
Pippenger has donated to USF since 1986, and says she was inspired by the $25 million gift last October from Les and Pam Muma. Since the “Unstoppable” campaign started, Pippenger has donated $22 million to USF, with all but $1 million of it earmarked for the business school.
