Bank expands in Southwest Florida

NAPLES — Seaside National Bank & Trust named H. Wayne Griest president of the Naples-Fort Myers market to spearhead the Orlando-based bank's growth in Southwest Florida.

Seaside opened in 2006 with one office in downtown Orlando and $54 million capital. The bank now has 15 offices statewide and $1.7 billion in assets. In addition to the Naples office at 3001 Tamiami Trail North, the bank also has locations in Sarasota and Tampa.

A 35-year banking veteran, Griest was previously a founder, president and CEO of Continental Bank Holdings in Pennsylvania until 2014 when the bank was sold. Griest has owned a second home in Naples for 10 years and became a Florida resident last year.
