Local bank hires economist

CLEARWATER —USAmeriBank has retained David Ide as the bank's chief investment officer and economist.

Ide will focus on growing the bank's investment portfolio and will develop and implement balance sheet strategies for the bank. He will also monitor local and national economic conditions to assist the bank and its customers in interpreting the economic environment and identifying financial opportunities and risks.

Prior to joining Clearwater-based USAmeriBank, Ide was group senior vice president and treasurer at Taylor Capital Group, where he directed the treasury activities for the firm and its subsidiary, Cole Taylor Bank. He received bachelor's degrees in economics and history from Northwestern University and a master's of business administration in finance from Washington University.
