Physician group opens Lehigh Acres office

LEHIGH ACRES — Physicians Primary Care of Southwest Florida opened a new office in Lehigh Acres, the unincorporated community east of Fort Myers.

The doctors are consolidating three offices into a new larger location at 5700 Lee Boulevard. “These new quarters allow us to bring our Lehigh Acres offices — pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology and family medicine — all under one roof to accommodate the growth in patients,” says Mary Yankaskas, managing physician of Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida. “Our patients also will have better access to care and more efficient care from this Lee Boulevard location.”

The new facility includes 18 exam rooms, six nurses' stations, six physicians' offices and an ultrasound room. Stevens Construction of Fort Myers built the 10,580-square-foot facility.

Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida, a physician-owned and operated medical practice, was formed in 1996 by local physicians and says it is now the largest independent multi-specialty primary care practice in Southwest Florida with more than 45 physicians and medical professionals.
