RND Automation & Engineering expanding, relocating to Manatee County
Robotics equipment manufacturer RND Automation & Engineering will double its real estate footprint with a planned relocation from a Sarasota business park to south Manatee County.
RND began in a facility in south Manatee County, then moved to a larger building in Sarasota County in 2010, and has since outgrown that space. The Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp. (EDC) helped RND find the 12,000-square-foot building at 7910 25th Court E., Sarasota in the SRQ Tech Park. The facility will allow the firm to install additional equipment it says is necessary to grow.
“The EDCs in the two counties worked with the company to help RND find a larger home in our region to retain the technical expertise that local manufacturers need, as well as the quality jobs RND provides,” Sharon Hillstrom, president and CEO of the Bradenton Area EDC, says in a press release.
The EDC also helped the company apply for performance-based economic development incentives through Manatee County. The Manatee Board of County Commissioners qualified the company to receive up to $8,000 in performance-based incentives as RND adds eight jobs over the next five years.
The company currently employs 12.
RND designs and builds equipment used in manufacturing.
