Strategic Property Partners LLC, Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik's development company, purchased the 719-room Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina for $150 million.

DETAILS: The development firm acquired the property as part of its larger plans to improve/develop the waterside district.

The hotelcontains 683 guest rooms, 36 suites and a 32-slip full-service marina located between Amalie Arena and the Tampa Convention Center. The hotel features 50,000 square feet of total meeting space and restaurants. It also contains a full-service spa and fitness center and a rooftop swimming pool.
