TAMPA — JetBlue says it will offer $99 one-way fares from Tampa and Fort Myers to its newest nonstop destination: Hartford, Conn.

The special one-way introductory fares are for once-daily flights from Oct. 31 through Dec. 13, except for the days around Thanksgiving. Both the Tampa and Fort Myers flights depart Southwest Florida in the afternoon, starting Oct. 27.

“Hartford is an important market for us, and it has grown steadily since we first began service there in November 2010,” says Scott Laurence, JetBlue vice president network planning, in a statement.

JetBlue will serve eight airports in New England: Boston, Burlington, Hartford, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Portland and Providence, with new service to Worcester, starting Nov. 7. Service on the Hartford-to-Fort Myers route is seasonal.
