Bank president scores new position

TAMPA — Local executive George Hall, onetime president of Florida banking at Superior Bank, has been named a regional vice president for the Tampa Bay unit of TD Bank.

Hall will oversee commercial lending and small business banking at 17 TD Bank branches spread through Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Sarasota counties, according to a release. Hall has 30 years of experience in banking and finance, the bank says. He was most recently a senior commercial banking executive with Synovus Bank in Tampa, and he's also held senior management positions at banks in Alabama, New Mexico and New Hampshire.

TD Bank is a subsidiary of The Toronto-Dominion Bank, based in Toronto. The bank has more than 1,300 locations in the U.S., with a focus on markets in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Metro D.C., the Carolinas and Florida. The dual U.S. headquarters for the bank are in Cherry Hill, N.J., and Portland, Maine.
