The Ritz-Carlton, Naples has announced plans for a summer refurbishment, the first of its kind in the resort's 27-year history. This project is also expected to be one of the largest resort renovations within The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co.'s portfolio. The renovations include a complete overhaul of all the 450 guest rooms, suites and corridors, three dining outlets, as well as various structural, mechanical and engineering upgrades throughout the property.

During the expansive two-month project, starting July 24, the resort will not accept any guests. However, the Ritz's sister property, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, located 10 minutes away, will be open and fully operational.

“The decision to cease operations for the first time in the resort's 27-year history is a true testament to our ongoing commitment to product and service excellence,” Edward Staros, vice president and managing director of The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples and one of the original founders of The Ritz-Carlton brand, says in a press release. “Our goal was to avoid any guest inconvenience during this timeframe.”
