Naples courts Big Apple

NAPLES — Naples airport officials met with JetBlue airline executives this week to discuss launching nonstop flights to Naples from New York-area airports.

“We're all still in fact-finding mode,” says Ted Soliday, executive director of the Naples Municipal Airport, in a statement after the talks. “We exchanged a great deal of information, asked many questions and discussed several issues. At this point, both the Airport Authority and JetBlue have a lot of work to do before determining if service is feasible.”

Soliday met with JetBlue executives earlier this week. Ernest Linneman, Naples Airport Authority board member, accompanied Soliday to the meeting.
