Deli chain orders Tampa growth

TAMPA — McAlister's Deli, a fast-casual restaurant chain, signed an agreement with franchise developers who plan to open 10 new stores in the Greater Tampa area over the next few years.

Ridgeland, Miss.-based McAlister's currently has one location in Tampa, on North 30th Street. The Tampa restaurants are part of a nationwide expansion that includes three new locations in central Michigan and five stores in Lincoln and Omaha, Neb.

“Over the past two years we have made great strides in strengthening the McAlister's Deli brand,” McAlister's Deli President and CEO Frank Paci says in a release. “Our guests have responded very positively to our menu enhancements and we are experiencing strong same store sales growth and interest in additional development from both new and existing franchisees.”
