$20M firm alters strategy

TAMPA — Accusoft Pegasus, a $20 million imaging software firm, is dropping the second half of its name as part of a rebranding program.

The firm has been Accusoft Pegasus since 2009. “The transition of the company name to Accusoft reflects our dedication to provide an even broader range of products,” CEO Jack Berlin says in a statement. “With the new direction of the brand, we continue to differentiate ourselves in the global marketplace.”

Accusoft moved into a 10,000-square-foot facility last year in Tampa. It was founded in 1991 as Pegasus Imaging Corp. The firm has made several acquisitions over the years, including a merger with software firm Accusoft in 2008. The firm had $19.4 million in revenues in 2010, when it made Inc. Magazine's list of fast-growth companies.
