There are so many candidates for Congress in the Fort Myers area that the Tiger Bay Club of Southwest Florida recently had to host a congressional forum at the largest venue in town: Harborside Events Center.

According to the Florida Division of Elections, there are 12 candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives from the 14th District of Florida. That's more candidates for the U.S. House than any other district in Florida.

Connie Mack, who is running for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Bill Nelson, is vacating the seat that is now being fought over by candidates such as Cape Coral homebuilder and State Rep. Gary Aubuchon, former radio host Trey Radel and Chauncey Goss, son of former CIA Director Porter Goss.
